The art that heals
The sound laboratories were born with the desire to improve the quality of life of young patients and those who provide them with care: the central objective of the project is therefore the humanization of the therapeutic path.
The state of "well-being" cannot be separated from the dimension of the relationship with oneself and with others and its achievement is deeply linked to an emotional and empathic dimension that balances the states of instability and uncertainty generated by illness.
Constructive thinking, creativity and imagination are the forces that can lead to the achievement and maintenance of this state of consciousness.
The project, in collaboration with the Istituto Superiore di Sanità, has a scientific committee which includes Arnoldo Mosca Mondadori, Marco Morricone and Domenico Giani, among others. The sound laboratories, designed and directed by Monica Volpini, are coordinated by Maestro Giorgio Albiani, who directs the teachers of musical pedagogy inside the Casa Museo del Petrarca in Arezzo.
