From the street to the school. Now his dream is to become a policeman.

He never met his father. His mother was too young to protect and raise him. As a teenager, he lived for three years alone in a poor and infamous neighborhood. He so became a street boy and went to jail for theft. Today he goes to school and dreams of becoming a policeman to help others.

My dream is to enter the military academy

He is 18 years old. At 10, an accident kept him immobilized for 2 years. He then went to live with his grandfather in a bad neighborhood and learned to steal as a group with his street friends. When he was a minor, he received an alternative sentence to prison and attended school in the Casa della Misericordia. He dreams of entering the Academy and making a military career.

Faquir Paulo Abude

Once abandoned, he is now welcomed by the House of Mercy. He studies and dreams of becoming a tailor.

He is Muslim and 18 years old. After being abandoned by his father, he started stealing as a joke. Because of that, he was expelled from his neighborhood and so forced to live on the street. Here, asking for help, he met Father Antonio. Rescued by the father, he then became the altar boy in the House of Mercy. Nowadays he is going to school to learn how to sew. He dreams of becoming Father Faquir one day.

Gildo Fernando Manuel

My dream is to become a quality tailor and to have my own house

He is 19 years old. He has ended up in prison for 15 months. After a course of rehabilitation he left prison and was welcomed in the Casa della Misericordia. Here he worked hard to have a future. He is now attending a sewing course to become a quality tailor. His dream is to buy a sewing machine and a whole house where to work.

After endless difficulties, the dream of becoming not only a tailor but also a model

Orphaned of his father at the age of 8, he interrupted his studies living in hardship. He learned various trades (from the penitent to the waste collection), he went to prison because of a small theft worth 20 euros. Rehabilitated, he entered the House of Mercy.

He dreams of being a quality tailor and model. He wants to sew his designs and present them.

From poverty to the House of Mercy where to build the dream of a dignified life

He comes from great poverty. He was not able to go to school. As a teenager he began immediately to commit crimes until he went in prison. Now he is studying and learning to be a tailor.

His dream is to become a model.

Abel Geremia Saulane

I dream of getting my driver's license and taking care of others

He is 29 years old. The father leaved the family when he was 5 years old. His mother died when he was 20. He went to live alone and joined a gang of street friends. He then ended up in jail.

He dreams of getting his driver's license and working as a social worker in the House of Mercy.

Orphan, prisoner, alone, Paul has found salvation in the House of Mercy.

He's 24 years old.

He attended the sewing course and was helped with her paid reintegration.
He wanted to return to his homeland to try to reconnect family ties. He wants to become a tailor.
